Alexandra Hervé is a young French racing driver who’s quietly but steadily making her way up the motorsport ladder—one karting series, one Formula Renault podium, and one superkart debut at a time.
EARLY YEARS
Born on October 15, 2005, in Deuil-la-Barre, just outside Paris, Alexandra holds dual French and Russian nationality.[1] She didn’t grow up far from the motorsport world—her father became the French Superkart champion in 2022, so speed was quite literally in the family.[2] In 2015, at just nine years old, she started karting, diving headfirst into the French karting scene.[3] It wasn’t a casual hobby. Alexandra competed in the French Female Championship and the Championnat de France Minime, working her way through the Cadet category before graduating in 2018.[4] By 2019, she’d successfully progressed into the top karting categories, a milestone that signaled she was serious about this.[5] In 2021, she finished fifth in the IAME Ladies Cup, a respectable result that showed she could hold her own in competitive company.[6]
OTHER INTERESTS
Racing isn’t her only passion. Alexandra is a student at ESCP Business School, one of Europe’s top institutions, where she’s balancing the demands of academia with the grueling schedule of a racing career.[7] She speaks four languages—French, Russian, English, and Italian—which is as impressive off the track as her lap times are on it.[8] When she’s not behind the wheel or buried in coursework, she plays piano and enjoys drawing, hobbies that reveal a quieter, more artistic side to someone who spends most weekends chasing podiums.[9]
EARLY SUCCESS
In 2022, Alexandra made the leap from karts to cars, joining the Formula Renault Cup by TTE in a Formula Renault 2.0.[10] It was a significant step up, and she didn’t waste time making an impression. That first season, she finished third in the championship standings—a strong debut that announced her arrival in single-seater racing.[11] The following year, 2023, she continued in the Formula Renault Cup, steadily improving her qualifying positions and race finishes. She notched her best qualifying result of fourth and her best race finish of sixth, climbing to fourth in the championship standings by season’s end.[12] At Magny-Cours, she raised her game, and at Le Mans, she climbed onto the podium for the first time—a moment that felt like validation for all the work she’d been putting in.[13] She also made appearances in the Formula 3R series, gaining valuable experience in two races held in Europe.[14]
NOTABLE ACHIEVEMENTS
- 2019: Successfully progressed to the top categories in karting after graduating from Cadet in 2018.[15]
- 2021: Finished fifth in the IAME Ladies Cup.[16]
- 2022: Made her car racing debut in Formula Renault 2.0 and finished third in the French Formula Renault Cup championship standings.[17]
- 2023: Achieved her first podium finish at Le Mans in the Formula Renault Cup by TTE; finished the season fourth in the championship.[18]
- 2024: Made her superkart debut at Circuit du Val de Vienne, following in her father’s footsteps in the discipline.[19]
- 2025: Made her Indian Racing League debut with Kolkata Royal Tigers, securing a top-five finish at Kari Motor Speedway despite a challenging start to the weekend.[20]
INSPIRATIONS
Her father’s success in superkarts undoubtedly played a role in shaping her racing ambitions, but Alexandra has carved out her own path. She’s not trying to replicate anyone else’s career—she’s building her own, one calculated move at a time.
REPUTATION
Alexandra is known for her steady, methodical approach to racing. She’s not the flashiest driver on the grid, but she’s consistent, smart, and always improving. Her debut in the Indian Racing League in 2025 showcased her adaptability—she overcame a difficult start to the weekend and delivered a top-five finish, sharing the #18 Wolf Thunder with Sandeep Kumar for Kolkata Royal Tigers.[21] She’s also respected for her ability to juggle a demanding academic schedule at ESCP Business School while competing at a high level in motorsport.[22] It’s not easy, and she makes it look less impossible than it probably is.
FUTURE GOALS/PLANS
In 2025, Alexandra has been conducting intensive testing in Formula 4, hitting tracks like Ledenon, Magny-Cours, and Nogaro.[23] The move signals her intent to continue climbing the single-seater ladder. The Indian Racing League calendar includes five events, with two rounds at Kari Motor Speedway, one at Madras International Circuit, and two more still to be confirmed.[24] She’s clearly committed to gaining as much experience as possible across different series and disciplines. Her goal is straightforward: keep progressing, keep learning, and keep proving she belongs at the next level. No shortcuts, no shortcuts, just steady forward momentum.
