Annie Breidinger is a multifaceted talent in the motorsports world who seamlessly balances her racing career with her impressive engineering background, currently working as a Chassis Controls Test & Validation Engineer at Ford Motor Company while continuing to pursue her racing ambitions.
EARLY YEARS
Born as a twin to her sister Toni Breidinger, Annie grew up in Hillsborough, California near Sonoma Raceway, which provided an ideal environment for nurturing her early interest in racing. At the age of nine, her father Charles Breidinger introduced both sisters to motorsports when he took them to a go-kart track, sparking a passion that would define their futures. This proximity to racing culture allowed for frequent practice and immersion in the sport throughout her childhood, creating a strong foundation for her racing journey.
EARLY SUCCESS
Annie’s racing career began to accelerate when she competed in the USAC Western US Asphalt Midget Series at just 15 years old, demonstrating remarkable skill at a young age. While developing her racing talents, she maintained academic excellence, eventually earning a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University. Her breakthrough moment came in 2016 when she claimed her first USAC feature victory at the “Gerhardt Classic,” a challenging 30-lap Western Midget feature race.
