Ashlyn Taylor is an 11-year-old kart racer from North Ridgeville, Ohio, making waves in multiple racing categories with a competitive edge that’s catching attention across the Midwest karting scene.

EARLY YEARS

Growing up in North Ridgeville, Ohio, Ashlyn found her way into karting at a young age in a region known for its dedicated racing community. She’s based out of the Lorain Ohio KartPlex (LOK), where she’s become a regular fixture on the track, cutting her teeth in various junior categories and building a foundation that’s already paying dividends.

EARLY SUCCESS

Taylor has been competing across multiple karting platforms throughout 2025, racing in 206 Cadet, Praga Cadet 206, and Tillotson T4 Junior categories. By July 2025, she was selected as one of the demo drivers at the Lorain Ohio KartPlex Open House on July 19th—a nod to her skill level and the trust the facility places in her abilities[1]. She’s been a consistent presence at LOK, running practice sessions, qualifiers, and feature races throughout the summer and fall. In August, she competed in the Great Lakes Sprint Series (GLSS) at LOK, running the 206 Cadet division[2]. Come September 6th, she was qualifying at the LOK Tillotson T4 Cup, getting valuable seat time in a junior T4 car despite a GoPro malfunction that would’ve made any racer curse under their breath[3]. By October 11th at LOK, she delivered a wire-to-wire performance in the Tillotson T4 feature race, going from pole position to a P1 finish[4]. In November, she was lapping the outer loop layout at Pittsburgh International Raceway during the Last Lap event, running a Praga Cadet 206 and already thinking about gearing adjustments to pick up more top speed[5]. That same month, she tested adult karts at Boss Pro-Karting, expanding her experience beyond junior categories[6].
