The moment that I’m not nervous before a race, it’s the moment that I should stop because it’s not giving me the same energy that it used to be.
It’s like a little bug that bites you, the passion for the adrenaline that you feel when you’re around the race cars.
Don’t ever listen to the people outside that tell you you cannot do it… sometimes you even find someone that tell you you’re a girl you cannot make it and then we’re proving them wrong.

FULL BIO: Gabriela Parra
Gabriela Parra carved out her place in motorsports not behind the wheel, but as one of the few women simultaneously holding dual roles as Team Manager and Race Engineer for Campos Racing in F1 Academy. The Venezuelan industrial engineer traded manufacturing for the high-octane world of professional racing, proving that the technical side of motorsports is just as thrilling as driving.
EARLY YEARS
Growing up in Venezuela, Gabriela was surrounded by what she describes as “a really racing environment back at home.” This family influence planted the motorsports seed early—she calls it “a little bug that bites you, the passion for the adrenaline that you feel when you’re around the race cars.” Despite this racing-saturated childhood, she initially pursued a completely different path, studying to become an industrial engineer. After graduation, she worked in regular manufacturing industry in her hometown, seemingly worlds away from the paddock. But that racing bug never went away. She even tried her hand at racing herself in Venezuela before the opportunity arose to transition into motorsports professionally, eventually leading her to make the bold move to Europe to chase her passion.
OTHER INTERESTS
Information about Gabriela’s interests outside of motorsports has not been publicly documented.
EARLY SUCCESS
Parra’s transition from industrial engineering to motorsports wasn’t immediate, but once she made the leap, her technical background proved invaluable. Her engineering expertise, combined with her natural leadership abilities, positioned her perfectly for the demanding dual role she would eventually take on with Campos Racing. Rather than following the traditional driver path, she found her niche in the technical and managerial aspects of racing, where her industrial engineering background gave her a unique advantage in understanding both the mechanical and operational sides of a racing team.
NOTABLE ACHIEVEMENTS
- 2024: Appointed as both Team Manager and Race Engineer for Campos Racing in F1 Academy, becoming one of the few women to hold dual leadership roles in professional motorsports.
- 2025: Continued leading Campos Racing through the F1 Academy season while supporting driver Carrie Schreiner, balancing new motherhood with high-pressure motorsport responsibilities.
INSPIRATIONS
Gabriela credits her family’s racing environment as her primary inspiration, though she hasn’t named specific mentors or heroic figures. The Venezuelan motorsport community provided her foundation, and the “adrenaline that you feel when you’re around the race cars” continues to drive her passion. Her motivation extends beyond personal achievement—she’s determined to prove wrong those who said “you’re a girl you cannot make it,” using skepticism as fuel for breaking barriers in motorsports.
REPUTATION
In the F1 Academy paddock, Parra has earned respect for her ability to excel in not one but two demanding roles simultaneously. Managing high-pressure race weekends while providing technical engineering support requires a rare combination of organizational skills and technical expertise. Her colleagues praise her work ethic and her natural ability to mentor young female drivers. Media coverage consistently highlights her as a role model for women in motorsports, particularly in technical and leadership positions that have traditionally been male-dominated. She’s known for her straightforward approach to overcoming industry stereotypes and her emphasis on proving capabilities through performance rather than words.
FUTURE GOALS/PLANS
Gabriela remains fully committed to her dual role with Campos Racing, continuing to support the development of next-generation female talent in F1 Academy. As she navigates the challenge of balancing new motherhood with the demanding travel schedule and intense race weekends, she’s proving that women can excel in high-level motorsport management while building families. Her focus remains on leveraging her industrial engineering background and growing motorsport expertise to nurture emerging drivers and advance opportunities for women in technical racing roles.
