Hannah Mckillop BIO
Northern Ireland-born Hannah McKillop is a rising star in motorsports who has transitioned from a childhood surrounded by rally culture to becoming an accomplished co-driver competing at the World Rally Championship level.
EARLY YEARS
Born in 1994 in Northern Ireland (turning 30 on March 23, 2024), Hannah grew up immersed in motorsports culture. Her father, a mechanic, took her to her first rally when she was just two weeks old, and she spent countless hours in his garage learning about the mechanical aspects of racing cars. At 19, she met Josh Davison, her future husband and fellow co-driver, who would help guide her entry into competitive motorsports.
EARLY SUCCESS
Hannah began her competitive journey about ten years ago in navigational events, which she credits as “a great learning ground for timing and organisation.” These foundational skills prepared her for stage rallying, where she quickly demonstrated her talent. Working with various drivers, she built experience across national competitions before advancing to more prestigious events, eventually competing in approximately 20 events per year ranging from national to European level competitions.
NOTABLE ACHIEVEMENTS
- 2024: Made her World Rally Championship debut at the prestigious 92nd Monte Carlo Rally, co-driving with Chris Ingram in a Skoda Fabia RS Rally2[1].
- 2023: Led the Scottish Rally Championship with driver Jock Armstrong until the final stage of the last round, securing two overall wins during the season[1].
- 2023: Competed in multiple rounds of the British Rally Championship, British Historic Championship, and BTRDA[1].
- 2023: Partnered with Aoife Raftery at Rali Ceredigion, achieving two top-five stage times in the FIA European Rally Championship[3].
REPUTATION
Hannah has established herself as a skilled, organized, and adaptable co-driver capable of working effectively with multiple championship-level drivers. Her technical background, courtesy of her father’s influence, gives her a comprehensive understanding of rally vehicles beyond just navigation. She’s known for her precision timing and organizational skills, essential qualities for a top-tier co-driver. Her ability to perform under pressure was demonstrated when she contested for championship titles down to the final stages.
FUTURE GOALS/PLANS
While specific goals beyond 2024 aren’t explicitly stated, Hannah’s trajectory suggests continued participation in high-level rallying events, potentially targeting more consistent World Rally Championship appearances. Her business in motorsport events management and the rally experience center she manages in Scotland indicate a long-term commitment to the sport both as a competitor and behind the scenes.
