FULL BIO: Kareen Kaur
At just 15 years old, Kareen Kaur has already shattered barriers as Singapore’s fastest female karting champion and the nation’s first female Formula 4 driver. This trailblazing teenager is making her mark in the male-dominated world of motorsports while juggling schoolwork and serving as the youngest ambassador for the Singapore Cancer Society.
EARLY YEARS
Born around 2010 in Singapore, Kareen grew up in a remarkable sporting family where competition was simply part of daily life. Her father Kuldeep Singh worked in automotive workshops, and she spent much of her childhood trailing behind him, constantly asking “what are you doing?” and absorbing everything about engines and racing. Her younger siblings Kushvin (wrestling) and Kavneet (track and field) also pursued competitive sports, creating a household where athletic excellence was the norm. Kareen’s love affair with Formula 1 began early, watching races with her parents and developing an unshakeable passion for speed and precision. By age 9, she was behind the wheel of a go-kart, and it was immediately clear she had found her calling.
OTHER INTERESTS
Beyond the racetrack, Kareen has channeled her platform into meaningful advocacy work, serving as an ambassador for the Singapore Cancer Society where she uses her motorsport visibility to raise awareness and funds. She’s currently a student at CHIJ Secondary School, somehow managing to balance her academic responsibilities with an increasingly demanding racing schedule that includes extensive simulator training and international competitions.
EARLY SUCCESS
Kareen’s transition from curious workshop observer to serious competitor happened fast. At 13, her training intensified dramatically with rigorous gym conditioning and endless hours on simulators—a necessity given Singapore’s lack of local Formula 4 infrastructure. Her family made significant financial sacrifices to support her dreams, eventually securing sponsorships from Motul Asia and Saltify. The investment paid off when she earned the title of Singapore’s fastest female karter and began racking up podium finishes in senior category karting across Singapore and Asian regional races.
NOTABLE ACHIEVEMENTS
- 2024: Placed 4th overall in the junior category of the ROK Cup Singapore Championship
- 2025: Achieved multiple podium finishes in senior category karting across Singapore and Asian regional races
- 2025: Became Singapore’s first female Formula 4 driver after completing certification and training trials in China
- 2025: Signed with Chennai Blackbirds for the Indian F4 season
- 2025: Appointed as the youngest ambassador for the Singapore Cancer Society
INSPIRATIONS
Kareen’s biggest inspiration remains her father Kuldeep, whose motorsport enthusiasm and workshop expertise laid the foundation for her career. Her childhood spent watching Formula 1 races with her parents instilled a deep appreciation for the sport’s technical and competitive aspects. Rather than idolizing specific drivers, she’s motivated by the opportunity to represent Singapore internationally and break down barriers for women in racing, declaring her commitment to race “for my country, for young girls, and for those fighting battles off the track.”
REPUTATION
Industry observers consistently praise Kareen’s tactical racecraft, noting her unusual calmness under pressure and remarkable adaptability for someone so young. Media coverage has been overwhelmingly positive, focusing on her role as a trailblazer in a male-dominated sport while highlighting her maturity and determination. She’s built a reputation as an articulate advocate for gender equality in motorsports, famously stating, “Whether you’re a girl or a boy, the only thing that proves your worth is getting on the podium.” Her clean public record and commitment to using her platform for cancer awareness work have only enhanced her standing as a role model.
FUTURE GOALS/PLANS
Kareen’s immediate focus is on the Indian F4 season with Chennai Blackbirds, which began in August 2025. She continues to train intensively on simulators and in the gym while maintaining her secondary school education at CHIJ. Her long-term vision involves racing “with purpose”—representing Singapore on the international stage while inspiring the next generation of female racers. As she puts it, “Motorsport is where my soul feels free—every challenge on track is a chance to grow, and every podium is a reminder that dreams don’t have limits.”
