Lærke's bio:

Danish racer Lærke Rønn Sørensen proved she doesn’t need a decade of GT experience to dominate—she just showed up in 2025 and claimed vice-champion honors in the Porsche Sprint Challenge Scandinavia during her rookie GT season, racking up two wins and ten podiums along the way.

EARLY YEARS

Rønn’s racing journey began in 2015 when she climbed into a kart for the first time. By 2016, she was already competing in her first race in Rotax Micro, proving that some people are just born to drive fast. She spent her formative years cutting her teeth in Danish karting, steadily building the racecraft that would later make her a threat on every grid she joined.

OTHER INTERESTS

Information about Lærke’s interests outside of racing is not currently available.

EARLY SUCCESS

The girl didn’t waste time making a name for herself. In 2017, Rønn claimed first place in Rotax Micro Ladies, and by 2018, she secured third place in Rotax Micro in the Danish championship and third place in the Rotax Nordic Championship. Her karting career included an impressive 231 races with 61 podiums and six fastest laps—proof that consistency and speed were her calling cards long before she moved up to cars. She transitioned to Formula 4 with LR Racing, competing in the Danish F4 series where she earned a podium finish in a Mygale F4. In 2024, she joined STEP Motorsport for Nordic 4, consistently finishing in the top ten and proving she could handle the step up to single-seaters with the same competence she’d shown in karts.

NOTABLE ACHIEVEMENTS

  • 2017: First place, Rotax Micro Ladies[1].
  • 2018: Third place, Rotax Micro, Danish Championship; third place, Rotax Nordic Championship – Rotax Micro[2].
  • 2025: Vice-champion, Porsche Sprint Challenge Scandinavia in her debut GT season; two wins, ten podiums, one pole position[3].
  • 2025: Five podiums in her first six races driving the Porsche 718 Cayman, including double podium finishes at Rudskogen Motorsenter and back-to-back podiums at Jyllandsringen, her home round[4].
  • 2025: Multiple race wins at Drivecenter Arena and Jyllandsringen throughout the season[5].

INSPIRATIONS

Information about Lærke’s inspirations is not currently available.

REPUTATION

Rønn has built a reputation as a racer who doesn’t need years to get up to speed—she delivers immediately. Her first GT season was a masterclass in adaptability: she made an immediate impact with front-running pace and consistent podium finishes, establishing herself as a championship contender from the opening round. At Rudskogen, she claimed third and second place in mixed-weather conditions, showcasing her ability to handle pressure and changing track conditions. At Jyllandsringen, she secured pole position and finished second in both races, taking the top spot in the championship standings mid-season. Her performance throughout 2025 proved that she’s not just fast—she’s a racer who can sustain championship-level performance over an entire season. The fact that she narrowly missed the title after a close duel at Mantorp Park only adds to her credibility; this wasn’t a fluke season, it was a legitimate championship fight.

FUTURE GOALS/PLANS

Information about Lærke’s specific future goals beyond 2025 is not currently available, but given her vice-champion finish in her debut GT season, it’s safe to say she’ll be gunning for that top step in whatever series she tackles next.
