Lexi Pechout is a Canadian off-road motorcycle racing powerhouse who’s been tearing up endurocross, motocross, and enduro courses since she was old enough to twist a throttle—and she’s been doing it with enough grit and skill to make grown men rethink their life choices.
EARLY YEARS
Born May 27, 1997, in Calgary, Alberta, Lexi Pechout got her first motorcycle at the ripe old age of two[1]. Her father, Siggi Pechout, immigrated from Germany with a deep love for cross-country racing, and he wasted no time passing that passion down to his daughter[2]. Growing up in Calgary’s off-road motorcycle community meant Lexi was immersed in the sport from day one—her childhood was spent at tracks, events, and anywhere else with dirt and bikes[3].
Her dad’s racing background shaped everything. He’d fallen hard for the sport after moving to Canada, and by the time Lexi could balance on two wheels, she was already being groomed—unintentionally or not—to follow in his tire tracks[4]. Her parents were heavily involved in organizing events for the Second Gear Motorcycle Club, which meant young Lexi spent weekends watching, learning, and eventually racing herself[5].
OTHER INTERESTS
When she’s not racing, Pechout works as a parts lady and assistant manager at BFD Moto (Blackfoot Direct) in Calgary[6][7]. It’s a day job that keeps her plugged into the motorcycle world even when she’s not on the bike. She’s also deeply involved with SurfinBerms, a women’s motorcycle collective that creates safe, welcoming spaces for female riders to get comfortable on two wheels[8]. The group hosts Camp Huckabuck, a ladies-only two-wheeled campout in Central Alberta that encourages women to take their first ride—or their best ride[9].
Lexi has become something of a mentor figure in the community, particularly for young girls who ride. She’s got a large fan base of young female riders who constantly reach out to her, and she takes that role seriously[10]. Through the Second Gear Motorcycle Club, where her parents remain active, she’s become the “Mama bear” for 175 youth riders, balancing fun with accountability[11].
EARLY SUCCESS
Pechout didn’t ease into competitive racing—she dove in headfirst and started winning early. In 2013, as a teenager, she earned a silver medal at the International Six Days Enduro (ISDE) in Sardinia, Italy, competing as part of Team Canada[12][13]. It was a massive accomplishment for someone so young, racing against some of the best off-road riders in the world.
The following year, she claimed the 2014 AMA Women’s EnduroCross Championship, cementing her reputation as a multi-discipline threat[14][15]. She made a dramatic last-lap pass from third to first in the finals in Ontario, snatching the title in front of a roaring crowd[16]. She was just 17 at the time, and already held a CMA Pro license for cross-country racing[17].
Her early career also included competing at the X Games, the Hidaka Two Day Enduro in Japan, and various other international events across Canada, the United States, Europe, and Japan[18][19]. She wasn’t just talented—she was fearless.

INSPIRATIONS
Lexi credits her father, Siggi Pechout, as her biggest influence in getting involved in motorcycle racing[29]. His lifelong passion for off-road motorcycling directly shaped her path, and she grew up watching him race and organize events. Her parents’ commitment to the Second Gear Motorcycle Club also played a huge role in keeping her connected to the sport[30].
She’s also spoken about how mentorship shaped her development. The support she received from the off-road community in Calgary gave her the foundation to compete internationally, and now she’s paying it forward by mentoring young riders herself[31].
REPUTATION
Pechout has built a reputation as one of Canada’s most versatile and accomplished female off-road riders. She’s competed successfully in endurocross, motocross, hare scrambles, ice racing, trials, hill climbing, and flat track—each discipline requiring its own set of skills, and she’s excelled at all of them[32]. “Ice racing, trials, hare scrambles, hill climbing, flat track; all of those dirt bike skills come together in endurocross,” she’s said, summarizing the demanding nature of the sport[33].
She’s known for training hard on rocks, logs, and at the local motocross track, constantly refining her technical abilities[34]. Her work with SurfinBerms and her visible presence at events have made her a role model for women in a sport that’s still overwhelmingly male. She’s approachable, tough, and unapologetically passionate about motorcycles.
Her favorite event? Babes in the Dirt, an epic ladies-only event in California that celebrates women riders[35].
FUTURE GOALS/PLANS
While Lexi has acknowledged that racing full-time forever isn’t necessarily in the cards, she remains deeply committed to the sport and the community[36]. Her focus has shifted toward mentorship, working with young riders, and continuing to advocate for women in motorsports through her involvement with SurfinBerms and the Second Gear Motorcycle Club.
She continues to compete at events like Red Bull Outliers and in the Canadian enduro series, balancing her day job at BFD Moto with her racing schedule[37]. Her passion for motorcycles hasn’t dimmed—it’s just evolved.
