When most 26-year-olds are still figuring out their career path, Lucie Baud is already conquering some of the world’s most grueling rally raids alongside her legendary father, proving that racing excellence runs in the family.
EARLY YEARS
Born on December 22, 1997, in Annemasse, Haute-Savoie, France, Lucie grew up in the shadow of the French Alps with motorsport literally in her DNA. Her father, Lionel Baud, wasn’t just any weekend warrior—he was a seasoned rally driver with over 30 years of experience and the head of Baud Industries, employing around 600 people. Growing up in the mountainous Haute-Savoie region, known for its outdoor sports culture, provided the perfect backdrop for a future rally star. While most kids were playing with dolls, Lucie was absorbing the intricacies of navigation, timing, and the art of reading terrain from one of France’s most respected rally veterans.
