Born June 1, 2007, in Tarragona, Spain, Paola Ramos knew what she wanted before she could probably even articulate it properly.[1] While other toddlers at daycare pushed around cars, one little vehicle stood out among her toys: a motorcycle.[2] When it came time to write her letter to the Reyes Magos—the Three Kings who bring gifts to Spanish children—she didn’t ask for dolls or dress-up clothes. Ramos began her competitive racing career in the Stock 600 class of the Spanish National Championship (ESBK) with the Superhugo44 team—a team founded by the family of Hugo Millán, the young rider who tragically lost his life in 2021.[4] It was a meaningful beginning, racing under a name that carried weight and memory.
