Sara Misir is making history as the first Caribbean woman to compete in the Formula Woman championship, showcasing her exceptional talent both on international circuits and in her home country of Jamaica where she has dominated local racing events with multiple championship titles.
EARLY YEARS
Born in Jamaica, Sara initially pursued equestrian sports before a significant setback redirected her path. Her father, Rugie Misir, who had a rich history in racing himself, played a pivotal role in introducing her to motorsports. After exploring go-karting and discovering her natural affinity for speed, she made the transition to motor racing at the age of 18, marking the beginning of what would become an impressive career.

While building her racing career, Sara simultaneously pursued academic excellence, studying architecture which demonstrated her remarkable discipline and versatility. Her early racing successes came on Jamaican soil, where she quickly established herself as a formidable competitor at Dover Raceway. Despite being a relative newcomer to the sport, her natural talent behind the wheel became evident as she consistently outperformed more experienced drivers, setting the stage for her eventual international breakthrough.
