FULL BIO: Shea MacGregor
Shea MacGregor transformed from a back-to-back motocross champion into one of the most competitive forces in modern motorcycle road racing. This Minnesota native has proven that academic excellence and athletic prowess make for a deadly combination on the racetrack.
EARLY YEARS
Growing up in Roseau, Minnesota, MacGregor was the daughter of Patrick and Carlene MacGregor, with a brother Connor who would go on to become a senior wrestler at Minnesota State University, Moorhead. At Roseau High School, she wasn’t just fast on two wheels—she was an honor roll student who dominated multiple sports. She lettered three times each in track and field and swimming, twice in cross country, and served as track and field team captain during her senior year before graduating in 2012.
OTHER INTERESTS
MacGregor’s athletic talents extended far beyond motorsports. She excelled in endurance sports, competing in track and field and cross country at both high school and collegiate levels. At the University of North Dakota, she earned a varsity letter in outdoor track and field during the 2012-13 season while pursuing a pre-physical therapy major. Her background in swimming, running, and track provided the physical conditioning and mental toughness that would serve her well in competitive racing.
EARLY SUCCESS
Before even reaching college, Shea had already established herself as a force to be reckoned with in motocross. She captured back-to-back DMC Motorsports Series Women’s Championships, demonstrating the competitive fire that would define her racing career. This early success in dirt racing laid the foundation for her eventual transition to road racing, where her natural speed and determination would find new expression on pavement.

REPUTATION
MacGregor has earned recognition as the “winningest racer in AMA” series according to promotional outlets, establishing herself as a formidable competitor who consistently challenges the sport’s top riders. Her ability to secure pole positions and maintain podium finishes has positioned her as one of the leading female contenders in competitive motorcycle road racing. Racing under number 457, she’s become known for her racecraft and speed, regularly battling with established competitors like Kira Knebel and Miranda Cain for series victories.
FUTURE GOALS/PLANS
With her current second-place standing in the 2025 Royal Enfield Build.Train.Race. championship and only a five-point deficit to overcome, MacGregor is positioned for a potential series title.
