Shea's bio:

Shea MacGregor is a dirt-to-pavement crossover success story who traded motocross boots for road racing leathers and made the transition look easy—finishing third in the 2025 Royal Enfield Build.Train.Race. Championship in her second season of roadracing.

EARLY YEARS

From Roseau, Minnesota—a small town that sits so close to the Canadian border you could practically throw a snowball into it—MacGregor started ripping up dirt tracks at nine years old. The daughter of Patrick MacGregor, she grew up with motocross in her blood, spending her formative years mastering the art of sliding sideways through corners and launching off jumps. She wasn’t just riding for fun; she was racing, and winning. MacGregor claimed back-to-back DMC Motorsports Series Women’s Championships, proving she could handle pressure and competition before she was old enough to vote.

OTHER INTERESTS

Racing wasn’t her only athletic pursuit. MacGregor attended the University of North Dakota, where she competed on the women’s track and field team as a pole vaulter—a sport that requires a unique cocktail of speed, strength, and fearlessness. As a freshman in 2012-13, she placed 16th in her division at the National Pole Vault Summit with a mark of 7 feet, 8 inches. She was majoring in pre-physical therapy at the time, which makes sense for someone who understands what bodies can—and can’t—do at high speeds.

EARLY SUCCESS

Her motocross credentials were solid long before she ever leaned into a roadracing apex. Competing in AMA District 23 events throughout Minnesota, MacGregor was a familiar face on the podium in women’s classes. She wasn’t just participating—she was dominating, with her back-to-back championships serving as proof that she knew how to find the limit and ride right up to it. Those years in the dirt gave her bike control that most roadracers spend years trying to develop.

INSPIRATIONS

Information about MacGregor’s specific inspirations is not available in the provided research.

REPUTATION

MacGregor earned respect in the BTR paddock for being fast right out of the gate—literally. Her motocross background gave her an edge in bike control that translated beautifully to roadracing, allowing her to be competitive from day one. She’s known for her aggressive riding style and her ability to run consistent lap times under pressure. In a series designed to develop women roadracers, she stood out not just for her raw speed but for her racecraft—she knew how to battle, how to defend, and how to stay calm when the pack got tight. Her pole positions and podium finishes in 2025 proved she wasn’t just learning the ropes; she was already pulling them.

FUTURE GOALS/PLANS

MacGregor has stated she hopes to continue racing after graduating from the Royal Enfield Build.Train.Race. program. With a third-place championship finish in 2025 and consistent competitiveness against some of the best female roadracers in North America, she’s positioned herself as someone to watch—whether that’s in another season of BTR or in whatever comes next. The girl from Roseau who started on dirt has proven she can handle pavement just fine.
