EARLY YEARS
Born on May 10, 1979, in Marshall, Michigan, Sherry grew up immersed in racing culture through her father Greg Pollex, a Late Model driver who later became a team owner in NASCAR’s national series. Her family relocated to Florida during her middle school years, where her passion for motorsports continued to develop. After graduating from Florida State University with a degree in Sports Marketing, she moved to North Carolina and began her career in NASCAR Public Relations, creating a foundation for her future impact in the racing world.
EARLY SUCCESS
While not a driver herself, Pollex made her mark in motorsports through her marketing expertise and philanthropic initiatives. In 2007, she co-founded the Martin Truex Jr. Foundation with NASCAR driver Martin Truex Jr., focusing on supporting underfunded initiatives for ovarian and childhood cancer. Her entrepreneurial spirit emerged in 2008 when she opened Lavender Boutique, but it was her growing influence within the NASCAR community that truly defined her path. In 2010, she launched “Catwalk for a Cause,” a fashion show featuring children battling cancer alongside NASCAR figures, which became a cornerstone charitable event in the racing world.
