Vera Jurland is a Norwegian motorsport driver who grew up immersed in racing culture, developing mechanical skills and driving abilities from an early age in the rugged Norwegian landscape.

EARLY YEARS

Born in Oslo, Norway in 1995, Vera spent her formative years near the Swedish border after her family relocated when she was three. Her childhood revolved around her father’s auto repair shop, where she developed mechanical intuition by watching him rebuild engines and work on vintage rally cars. With a former cross-country skier mother who instilled competitive drive, Vera was navigating go-karts by age six and competing in local karting leagues by eight, often against older boys.

EARLY SUCCESS

By age ten, Vera was already showing exceptional promise behind the wheel, racing in a custom junior rally kart her father built from a converted Volvo engine. The rugged, icy terrain of rural Norway became her training ground, developing remarkable adaptability and control in challenging conditions. Family road trips to historic European rally stages further fueled her passion, as she absorbed stories about pioneering female racers like Michèle Mouton while honing both driving skills and mechanical knowledge.
