Aoife started rallying at 20, after injuries ended her career in other sports. Five years later, she’s competing across Europe and the U.S., switching between cars, countries and surfaces while building the partnerships that make it all possible.

We talk about the less glamorous side of the sport: sending hundreds of sponsorship emails, finding the money to test and race, preparing for an event, jumping from a tarmac rally in Spain straight onto gravel in America, and figuring out how to build a career when there’s no straightforward path to follow.

Aoife also shares what she thinks needs to change to get more women into motorsport—and why she believes the stopwatch is ultimately the fairest judge of all.
