Ava Hanssen of Wisconsin shows her skills against the boys in 206 Junior at World Karting Association’s annual Daytona KartWeek Sprint Nationals at Daytona Int’l Speedway’s 0.55-mile kart track. While this race doesn’t exactly go Ava’s way, she does rebound for an awesome P2 in the final later in the day and wins the overall class championship and a scholarship to the Skip Barber Racing School!

Ava is riding a Briggs LO206-powered Merlin chassis prepared by her dad and top sprint national karting tuner Jason Birdsell! Look out for this girl in the future… she’s a new Kart Lounge favorite and she can get it done behind the wheel!
