The Woman Who Tamed Group B’s Monster | Fabrizia Pons

Video Description from YouTube:

In 1982, the most dangerous motorsport on Earth nearly crowned a woman world champion. 🏁

Michèle Mouton went from co-driver to Audi Quattro works driver, became the first woman to win a World Rally Championship round (Sanremo 1981), finished 2nd in the 1982 world championship, and in 1985 smashed the Pikes Peak course record in an Audi Sport Quattro S1 — beating Al Unser Jr.’s time by 13 seconds. She’s still the only woman ever crowned King of the Mountain.
