Five women, five distinct chapters in Formula 1 history.

Susie Wolff took part in official F1 free practice in 2014. Maria Teresa de Filippis became the first woman to start a Formula One World Championship race in 1958. Lella Lombardi remains the only woman to score F1 World Championship points, earning 0.5 at the 1975 Spanish Grand Prix. Giovanna Amati attempted to qualify for three Grands Prix in 1992 but did not start a race. Carmen Jordá served as a Lotus development driver in 2015 and a Renault development driver in 2016.
