Palmowski vs Larsen Austin Crash Explained F1 Academy 2026 | Payton Westcott

Video Description from YouTube:

F1 Academy Austin 2026 delivered a new champion, a first-time winner and a collision that ended both drivers’ Feature Races. What happened between Alisha Palmowski and Alba Larsen—and how did Nina Gademan take control before the incident?

In this race analysis, Gridline F1 News connects four stories across three races at the Circuit of the Americas:

• Alisha Palmowski’s Friday fightback and championship-clinching Saturday, including her battle with first-time podium finisher Lisa Billard.
• Alba Larsen’s breakthrough victory, her earlier battle with Gademan, and the costly Sunday collision.
• Nina Gademan’s decisive move around the outside at Turn 1 and the closing restart she managed to secure victory.
• Payton Westcott’s home podium and Natalia Granada’s first Feature Race podium for PREMA Racing.

We examine the clean lap-eight battle, the lap-ten contact and the official clarification that separates Friday’s off-track pass from Sunday’s collision. Palmowski had already secured the championship before the incident. Gademan had already earned the lead.

The analysis also covers Larsen’s three-place grid penalty, Jade Jacquet’s personal-best fourth place, and the fight between Gademan and Emma Felbermayr for second in the championship.

Which performance impressed you most: Palmowski’s title-winning recovery, Larsen’s first victory, Gademan’s race-winning execution or PREMA’s podium finishes? Tell us why in the comments.
