Jamaica’s motorsport pioneer Sara Misir made history in Saudi Arabia, opening the 2026 UIM E1 World Championship with a dominant victory at the E1 Jeddah Grand Prix. Racing on the Red Sea, Misir delivered a calm, high-pressure performance to secure her first Grand Prix win of the season and earn the prestigious Pilot of the Day honor.
The victory also marked Misir’s first win with Aoki Racing Team, debuting the team’s iconic pink livery on the sport’s biggest stage. Paired with former Formula One test driver Dani Clos, the duo immediately announced themselves as serious championship contenders.
Jeddah holds special meaning for Misir. It was here in 2025 that she made her E1 debut and claimed her first career podium. One year later, she returned to stand on the top step — a full-circle moment in an already historic career.
