GRRL! SUMMARY:
- MADDIE AUST delivered another stellar performance with an eighth-place finish at VIR, extending her remarkable consistency streak that includes six top-ten results and two top-fives in her rookie IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge season. Despite starting ninth and dealing with pit stop delays that dropped her to 14th mid-race, Aust fought back through the field and held off late pressure to secure yet another points-paying finish for Bryan Herta Autosport.
- RILEY PEGRAM bounced back from mechanical issues that cost her team the first practice session to capture tenth place, marking back-to-back top-tens for the Pegram Racing duo. Her first stint was particularly impressive, showing improved pace and climbing as high as seventh before the driver change, despite receiving a drive-through penalty for a pit infraction that could have derailed their day entirely.
- MEGAN TOMLINSON and her father Ron faced a challenging day with multiple penalties – including infractions for too many crew members over the wall and pit lane speeding – plus technical issues that cost them nine laps in the closing stages. Despite the setbacks, the Canadian family duo still managed to cross the line 12th and add valuable points to their championship tally, showing the kind of resilience that’s kept them competitive in the midfield all season.
