GRRL! SUMMARY:
- After two frustrating rounds where mechanical failures and teammate crashes kept her out of races entirely, JESSICA HAWKINS finally got back behind the wheel at the Nürburgring. Making her debut at the legendary German circuit, she delivered a composed opening stint in the #270 Comtoyou Aston Martin, maintaining P13 in Bronze class and gaining those precious racing miles that had been denied to her through no fault of her own.
- The British racer showed her worth during a challenging qualifying weekend, consistently improving her lap times and keeping the Aston Martin competitive despite starting P16. When the three-hour race began, HAWKINS kept her cool in the chaotic opening laps, actually gaining positions as other drivers hit trouble, and settled into a rhythm with consistent 2:00.6 lap times that chipped away at the gap to the car ahead.
- This season marked a major step up for HAWKINS from British GT to one of the world’s most competitive GT3 championships, and the Nürburgring result represents just the team’s second Endurance Cup finish of what’s been a brutal learning year. With crucial track time finally under her belt and the season finale at Barcelona coming up, she’s positioned to build on this foundation and show what she can really do when everything goes according to plan.
