ALEXANDRA HAINER Clinches McLaren Trophy America Pro-Am Title at Indy

• ALEXANDRA HAINER and teammate Jesse Lazare wrapped up the McLaren Trophy America Pro-Am championship at Indianapolis Motor Speedway after a weekend that had everything – stellar driving, strategic pit stops, and some questionable moves from their main rivals. Despite John Dempsey’s aggressive tactics that included spinning Hainer in the final race, the Motorsports In Action duo kept their composure and secured the points they needed. It’s exactly the kind of championship-caliber performance we love to see – handling pressure with class while others lose their cool.
• The championship fight came down to a nail-biting 3.5-point margin heading into the finale, but HAINER showed why she belonged at the top all season long. Her qualifying performances put her consistently in the top-6 overall and second in Pro-Am, while her racecraft shined when it mattered most. After getting spun by Dempsey in race two, she managed a damaged car for the remaining laps to secure the title – that’s championship mentality right there. The fact that Dempsey got penalized and retired while she kept going says everything about who deserved this title.
• This debut season performance from HAINER proves once again that when women get equal equipment and opportunities, they deliver championships.
