GRRL! SUMMARY:
- MADELINE STEWART wrapped up her second Porsche Carrera Cup North America season with serious momentum, scoring points in eight of her final nine races including an 11th-place finish at COTA – her best result of the weekend. The JDX Racing driver showed she belongs in the thick of Pro class battles, consistently running lap times that matched drivers ahead of her and proving her late-season surge wasn’t a fluke.
- The Kiwi racer’s COTA performance highlighted exactly what we’ve been watching develop all season – smart racecraft and relentless improvement. STEWART executed clean passes, defended her position against faster cars, and most importantly, kept her composure when Pro-Am traffic threatened to derail her race. Her qualifying pace put her 13th in Pro class, but it was her race management that earned the real respect.
- What makes STEWART’s trajectory so compelling is how she’s turned COTA into her proving ground. Last season she managed 14th as her best finish there, but this time she arrived with actual experience from Porsche Endurance Challenge and the confidence to use it. When Michael McCann retired ahead of her and post-race penalties shuffled the order, STEWART was positioned perfectly to capitalize – that’s not luck, that’s a driver who’s learned to be in the right place when opportunities appear.
