GRRL! SUMMARY:

  • ASHLEY FREIBERG, SARAH MONTGOMERY and newcomer CHARLOTTE TRAYNOR delivered another podium finish for AE Victory Racing at Watkins Glen, with the all-female team claiming third place in Saturday’s eight-hour WRL endurance race. TRAYNOR set the team’s fastest lap of the day at 2:01.8 during her longest stint to date, while FREIBERG opened with a strong three-hour performance and MONTGOMERY managed treacherous conditions including heavy rain and debris.
  • The team entered Watkins Glen riding high from their historic first-ever victory at Utah Motorsports Campus, where they became the first all-female crew to win in the GTO class. Founded in 2023 by GT World Challenge America winner ERIN VOGEL, AE Victory Racing continues proving that their Utah breakthrough wasn’t a fluke – they’ve now moved up to third in the WRL national championship standings.
  • Sunday’s seven-hour race showed the team’s potential before a sensor issue forced an early retirement while running second. FREIBERG charged through the field to hand over in fourth place, TRAYNOR maintained front-runner pace, and MONTGOMERY was positioned for another podium before the mechanical setback. The crew’s flawless pit work and strategic timing had them perfectly positioned until the sensor problem struck.

UPCOMING:

  • Circuit of the Americas WRL Round – December 2025
