Klara Andersson is a trailblazing Swedish rallycross driver who made history as the first permanent female competitor in the FIA World Rallycross Championship in 2022.
EARLY YEARS
Born into a family with deep roots in rallycross, Klara was introduced to motorsport at just 7 years old when her parents, both former rallycross competitors, bought her and her sister Magda a go-kart. Her father, Håkan Andersson, had competed in the Swedish Rallycross Championship for Volvo and BMW, setting an early example. By age 12, after attending an event at Höljes, Sweden, she decisively set her sights on becoming a rallycross driver[1][5].
EARLY SUCCESS
After a five-year hiatus when her intended junior rallycross class disappeared, Klara made her competitive debut in the 2018 Junior Swedish Rallycross Championship.
