GRRL! SUMMARY:
- MEGAN TOMLINSON stepped up from TCR to make her GT4 debut at Daytona’s four-hour BMW M Endurance Challenge, joining father Ron and team principal Trevor Hill in the #22 Shopify Racing Porsche 718 GT4. The weekend represented a significant leap in both pace and complexity as she tackled one of the most competitive GT4 fields the series has seen in recent years.
- Despite starting 26th in a tightly packed field, TOMLINSON showed steady improvement throughout her stint, maintaining position in the top 25 and staying on the lead lap while gaining crucial pack racing experience. A mid-race spin dropped the team to 30th, but she regrouped and continued building confidence in her first competitive GT4 outing under full IMSA conditions.
- The highlight came when strategic fuel strategy cycled the Shopify Racing entry to the overall lead, with the #22 heading the entire GS field as other competitors pitted. While they ultimately finished 24th in class, the team completed the full four hours and gave TOMLINSON the foundation she needs for her 2026 GT4 campaign heading into Sebring in March.
UPCOMING:
- IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge Round 2 – Sebring International Raceway (March 18-21, 2026)
