Bailey Campbell is the daughter of off-road racing royalty who became the first woman to lead King of the Hammers in the premier 4400 class—then proved it wasn’t a fluke by doing it solo.

EARLY YEARS

Born on April 11, 1991, Bailey grew up surrounded by dirt, grit, and velocity as the daughter of legendary off-road racer and multiple-time King of the Hammers champion Shannon Campbell[1]. Her brother Wayland Campbell also races, and their mother Tammy provides what Bailey calls “the glue” that keeps Campbell Enterprises fortified[2]. With racing DNA this deep, it was only a matter of time before she got behind the wheel herself. She started rock crawling competitions at age 15, then got into her first fast car race at 16[3]. Her career trajectory? Straight up.

Campbell graduated from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health[4], proving she’s got brains to match the guts. She’s married to fellow off-road racer Bryan Crofts[5], and together they’re raising a daughter in Gilbert, Arizona[6]. EARLY SUCCESS

Her first real test came at a 2013 Dirt Riot race in Moab, driving her brother Wayland’s car. She crashed. Hard. By 2015, she’d earned an 8th place overall finish for the Ultra4 Championship[10], a series known for combining rock crawling with high-speed desert racing. Then came 2016, the year she made history. She’s motivated by the technical challenges of the sport, particularly the rock crawling sections of King of the Hammers, which she calls her favorite part of the race[18]. With more than a decade of Ultra4 Racing experience under her belt, she’s forging her own path and continuing to prove that she belongs at the front of the pack. Her goal?
