DYSTANY SPURLOCK Makes NASCAR History, Inducted Into Hall of Fame Class

• DYSTANY SPURLOCK became the first Black woman to qualify and compete in NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series at Dover, finishing 36th after a wreck but achieving a historic milestone that broke barriers in American motorsports.
• Before NASCAR, SPURLOCK dominated motorcycle drag racing with a 7.32-second national female record at 178 mph in Real Street class, then became only the second Black woman in NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle competition.
• SPURLOCK adapted quickly to stock cars, becoming first Black woman in ARCA Menards Series with impressive seventh-place finish at Hickory. She narrowly missed Watkins Glen Truck race due to owner-points provisional system despite outqualifying NATALIE DECKER.
• African American Automotive Association inducted SPURLOCK into Hall of Fame Class of 2026 as Record-Breaking Drag Racer and Historic NASCAR Pioneer, recognizing her versatility across multiple racing disciplines at age 37 with momentum still building.
