GRRL! SUMMARY:
- DORIANE PIN arrived at Imola leading LMP2 ProAm championship after back-to-back podiums at Barcelona and Paul Ricard, where she won the Goodyear Wingfoot Award and delivered one of the field’s fastest closing stints.
- Teammate Giorgio Roda secured LMP2 ProAm pole position with a 1:33.195, just 0.007 seconds ahead of DKR Engineering’s Glorieux after a brilliant qualifying session that saw him reclaim provisional pole in the closing minutes.
- Early contact damaged the #30 Oreca, costing a full lap. PIN recovered the deficit during Safety Car procedures, charging from 11th to sixth with consistent 1:33s pace through heavy traffic before handing over.
- Richard Verschoor drove brilliantly into third-place podium position, but a technical issue during the final pit stop cost crucial seconds, dropping the championship leaders to seventh and costing them the points lead.
