Rylee's bio:
Rylee Raines is a nine-year-old motorcycle racer from Santa Maria, California, who competes in youth mini-moto road racing on the West Coast — and is already running out of competition in her own class.
EARLY YEARS
Born on April 11, 2017, in Santa Maria, California [1], Raines describes herself as a “West Coast moto kid. Raised at the track.” [2] A throwback post on her Instagram account shows her racing 50cc bikes at the Santa Maria Kart Track as far back as 2023 [3], and her first verified national-level entry came in 2025, when she appeared on the MotoAmerica Mini Cup National Final entry list under the banner of Rylee Rider Racing, aboard a Honda CRF50 in the Stock 50 class. [4]
EARLY SUCCESS
Her first documented result at a MotoAmerica-affiliated event came on May 3–4, 2025, at the FIM Mini Cup USA/MotoAmerica Mini Cup Qualifier held at Apex Motorsports Park, where she finished fifth in the Stock 50 class. [5] She was also listed as an entrant at the 2025 MotoAmerica Mini Cup National Final, though a verified finishing result from that event is not publicly documented. [4]
By the fall of 2026, Raines had stepped up to the Stock 110 class and was competing in the Southern California grassroots road racing scene, where she was regularly the only Stock 110 entrant on the grid. Rather than race unchallenged, she spent time sharing the track with Stock 50 competitors — different machines, different classes, same racing surface. [6]
At the 2026 Morris Cup Grand Prix at Apex Motorsports Park’s Wacky Track configuration, that situation produced a notable moment. Qualifying fell in the wet, and Raines posted a 1:10.070 lap — the fastest Youth Development qualifying lap of the session, across all classes. Race Direction, with her father’s agreement, elected to start her from the back of the combined Youth Development grid rather than at the front, giving her the opportunity to work through traffic and gain experience racing alongside the Stock 50 competitors. She was separately scored in Stock 110 throughout. She went on to finish second overall in the Youth Development Main and first in her Stock 110 class. [6]
Earlier that same month, at a SoCalGP round at Apex Motorsports Park, she had also taken first in the 110 class and second overall in Youth Development — results her Instagram account recaps with a note that she had “really been enjoying riding in the wet.” [7]
At a Fast Times BKR event in early October 2026, she competed under the lights, crediting the people “willing to put in the work to make weekends like this happen.” [8]
NOTABLE ACHIEVEMENTS
- 2025: Fifth place, Stock 50 class, FIM Mini Cup USA/MotoAmerica Mini Cup Qualifier, Apex Motorsports Park, May 3–4. [5]
- 2025: Listed entrant, MotoAmerica Mini Cup National Final, Stock 50, Honda CRF50, Rylee Rider Racing. [4]
- 2026: First in Stock 110 class, second overall in Youth Development, SoCalGP, Apex Motorsports Park. [7]
- 2026: Fastest Youth Development qualifying lap in wet conditions, 2026 Morris Cup Grand Prix, Apex Motorsports Park; first in Stock 110 class, second overall in Youth Development Main. [6]
REPUTATION
In September 2026, Throttle Sauce identified Raines as a young rider from the Golden State Championship circuit and featured her asking questions at a MotoAmerica King of the Baggers press conference. [9] The joke that has apparently taken hold in the paddock — posted to her Instagram account by race organizers after the Morris Cup Grand Prix — is “WHERE ARE ALL THE OTHER STOCK 110s?!” followed by the suggestion that competitors “must be scared of her by now.” [6]
She has become a visible presence in the broader West Coast women’s and girls’ motorsports community. At a @race_cra and @compactoctane event at Buttonwillow Raceway Park in October 2026, she reflected on the paddock environment: “Not being the girl in the paddock. Just being another racer. And the kids coming up get to see that as a normal part of racing, not something unusual. That’s pretty cool.” [10]
FUTURE GOALS/PLANS
On October 13, 2026, an announcement from LS2 and Angels Of Dirt confirmed that Raines is scheduled to compete in the Golden State Championship and FIM Moto Mini USA Cup in 2027, and will be featured as part of the “Next Chapter Racer” series, which celebrates women and girls in motorsports. [11] Her Instagram profile, as of late 2026, lists her active competition in MotoAmerica Mini Cup Stock 110 and the Golden State Championship Open 65 class. [2]
