• ALEXIS DeJORIA qualified fourth at the NHRA Las Vegas Nationals, clocking a 3.874 at 333.33 mph in Q1 — low E.T. of that session — in her Bandero Premium Tequila Chevrolet SS Funny Car.
• The two-time Las Vegas Funny Car winner (Spring 2014, Spring 2016) lines up against No. 13 qualifier Hunter Green in Sunday’s first round of eliminations.
• DeJORIA backed up her Friday effort with a strong 3.88 in Q3 Saturday, with the Bandero team collecting three bonus points on the day and expressing confidence heading into race day.
