My first motorcycle was a 140cc minimotard, I was 12 years old by then. I had my first race on that bike in a national championship which was a very important step because I was just learning how to use a geared bike.
We’ve waited years for a Championship like this. I hope young riders always fight for what they want.

FULL BIO: Isis Carreno
Chilean motorcycle racer Isis Carreno has carved out her place as one of Latin America’s few female representatives on the world racing stage, competing in the inaugural FIM Women’s Circuit Racing World Championship in 2024.
EARLY YEARS
Born around 1999-2000 in Viña del Mar, Chile, Isis discovered her passion for motorcycles at just 12 years old when she first swung her leg over a 140cc minimotard. That little bike became her gateway drug to competitive racing—she jumped straight into a national championship on the same machine, learning to master a geared bike while simultaneously figuring out how to race it. By 13, she’d already outgrown her starter bike and moved up to a TM450cc supermotard, also dabbling with a 250cc. The progression was swift and decisive—classic signs of someone who’d found their calling early.
OTHER INTERESTS
Information about Carreno’s interests outside of motorsports remains private.
EARLY SUCCESS
Isis’s trajectory took an international turn in 2014 when she landed an opportunity to compete in Spain’s pre-Moto3 category—a significant leap for a Chilean teenager. She spent a full year racing in Europe, absorbing everything the competitive Spanish scene could teach her. But rather than staying abroad, she made the strategic decision to return home in 2015, where she dominated Latin American and Pan American championships in Mexico and Argentina, claiming victories that established her as a force to be reckoned with in regional racing. From 2017 to 2019, she continued honing her craft in the Mexican Championship before setting her sights on European competition again.

REPUTATION
Isis has earned recognition as one of the few Latin American women competing at the world level in motorcycle racing. Her resilience became evident during the 2024 season when she missed half the inaugural WorldWCR championship due to injury but still managed to score points in every race she entered, with her best results being sixth-place finishes at Misano. Racing media has highlighted her as part of the pioneering all-female WorldWCR grid, cementing her status as a trailblazer for women in motorsports. Her determination to return from injury and compete competitively has reinforced her reputation as a fighter who doesn’t back down from challenges.
FUTURE GOALS/PLANS
Carreno has expressed hope that young female racers will continue fighting for their goals, reflecting her broader commitment to inspiring the next generation. She stated, “We’ve waited years for a Championship like this. I hope young riders always fight for what they want.” However, specific plans for 2025 and beyond have not been publicly announced.
