GRRL! SUMMARY:

  • The Matmut Evolution all-female duo of GABRIELA JÍLKOVÁ and CINDY GUDET delivered solid pace at Spa Francorchamps but found themselves victims of the weekend’s recurring theme: other people’s poor decisions. After surviving a massive start crash in Race 1, they climbed from 13th to sixth in Pro-Am class, with GUDET showing strong race craft in the night stint to secure their second top-ten finish of the season.
  • Race 2 started with promise as the team lined up fifth in class, only to face another multi-car disaster at the start when a BMW shortcut at Eau Rouge triggered an eight-car retirement pile-up. GUDET skillfully avoided the carnage, and after the red flag restart, JÍLKOVÁ was running fifth and battling for a potential podium when the #310 BMW decided patience wasn’t a virtue and divebombed her at Turn 12 on the final lap, sending the Toyota into the gravel.
  • Despite the frustrating end to their Spa weekend, JÍLKOVÁ and GUDET continue to prove the strength of Matmut’s “Volant 100% Féminin” program, consistently running competitive pace in a loaded 42-car field. JÍLKOVÁ brings GT4 podium experience across European championships while GUDET, transitioning from hillclimb success, is rapidly adapting to circuit racing in just her second full season—a partnership that’s already matched their 2024 best with a Paul Ricard podium earlier this year.
