GRRL! SUMMARY:
- ANNA CECCHI delivered a masterclass in resilience at Road America, rebounding from a major testing crash that destroyed her car to secure a podium finish. After her father Greg handed over his Cayman Masters car, she adapted quickly to the new chassis and qualified third in the Cayman Pro/Am class, proving that talent transcends equipment when you’ve got the skill to back it up.
- The Charlie Hayes Racing driver came into Road America hot off a double victory at Laguna Seca in the USA West division, where she beat championship leader Jack Parriott in both races. That momentum carried through despite the setback, as CECCHI made an excellent race start and executed a clean pass on Tom Kopczynski through the opening turns to move into fourth overall and third in class by lap one.
- CECCHI’s tactical race management shone during the full course yellow period on lap seven, maintaining her position while managing pressure from behind and keeping sight of the leaders ahead. She held her nerve through the restart and closing stages to secure another podium finish, adding to her growing reputation as a driver who delivers when it matters most in this competitive series.
