SHELBY HALL Launches Her Own Racing Team, Honors Grandfather’s Legacy

• Third-generation racer SHELBY HALL has launched Shelby Hall Off-Road (SHO), her own racing team that will debut at the NORRA Mexican 1000 with co-pilot Brady Melin in a Ford Bronco DR. This marks the first privateer team to race the limited-production, factory-built off-road racer, putting Hall at the forefront of a new era in desert racing technology.
• Hall’s racing credentials span prestigious events including The Mint 400, Rebelle Rally, and Baja 1000, building on a family legacy established by her late grandfather Rod Hall, an Off-Road Hall of Famer who mentored her until his passing in 2019. Her race truck bears the tribute “honoring the legend Rod Hall,” carrying forward traditions written on the same challenging Baja trails where her family made history.
• The partnership between Hall and boyfriend Brady Melin combines complementary personalities and skills – her high-energy drive with his laid-back approach and master mechanic abilities. Their Huntington Beach shop serves as headquarters for what Hall calls a dream realized, something her grandfather encouraged her to pursue right before his death when he asked how they could get her own race team.
