GRRL! SUMMARY:
- JESSICA HAWKINS’ promising weekend at Monza came to an abrupt end when teammate Antoine Potty crashed the #270 Aston Martin Vantage GT3 during Saturday’s practice session, damaging the car beyond repair. The team was forced to withdraw from the 3 Hours of Monza despite showing competitive pace throughout Friday testing.
- The Aston Martin Driver Ambassador had been building momentum after her GT World Challenge Europe debut at Paul Ricard, where she helped Comtoyou Racing climb 13 positions to finish P11 in Bronze Cup. At Monza, the team was running 18th overall when Potty’s accident at Ascari chicane ended their weekend prematurely.
- HAWKINS demonstrated characteristic professionalism in her response, prioritizing her teammate’s safety over the disappointing result. The former W Series and British GT driver confirmed the team will regroup for the 24 Hours of Spa in a few weeks, where she’ll have another chance to showcase her GT3 credentials on one of Europe’s most demanding circuits.
