SARA PRICE Claims Dakar Stage Win Despite Early Race Issues in SSV Class

January 20, 2025

• SARA PRICE proved she belongs among the elite at the 2025 Dakar Rally, claiming a stage victory in the brutally competitive SSV class alongside teammate Jeremías González Ferioli. While early race issues knocked her out of overall contention, her stage win demonstrates the speed that makes her a threat in any desert racing environment.
• The fact that PRICE secured a stage win at Dakar—arguably the most demanding motorsport event on the planet—while dealing with mechanical setbacks shows exactly the kind of resilience we’ve come to expect from top-tier female racers. Her performance alongside South Racing Can-Am proves she can run with the fastest drivers in the world when the equipment cooperates.
• While Brock Heger dominated the overall SSV classification and Francisco López grabbed five stage wins, PRICE’s victory stands out as a reminder that when women get equal equipment and opportunity, they deliver results that speak for themselves. Her stage win at Dakar adds another significant achievement to a resume that continues building the case for more female representation in premier desert racing series.
