GRRL! SUMMARY:
- BRITTANY FORCE delivered a record-breaking performance at zMAX Dragway, setting a new national speed record with a blistering 341.54 mph run during Friday night qualifying. The two-time NHRA Top Fuel champion shattered her own previous record of 338.94 mph, which she set at Pomona in November 2022, proving once again why she’s considered one of the sport’s elite drivers.
- While FORCE was busy rewriting the record books, she also played a key role in the historic context of this weekend’s event. She previously won the 900th Top Fuel race, making her part of an exclusive group that includes Doug Kalitta (500th winner) and Antron Brown (800th winner) who have claimed victories at these milestone events.
- The weekend marks the 1,000th Top Fuel event in NHRA history, with drag racing legend Don Garlits set to present the winner’s trophy. FORCE’s record-setting speed came during prime track conditions that also saw Doug Kalitta claim provisional pole position with a track record 3.646-second elapsed time, setting up what promises to be an epic showdown for this historic milestone race.
