GRRL! SUMMARY:
- BRITTANY FORCE obliterated her own NHRA speed record at the U.S. Nationals, clocking 343.51 MPH in her first-round matchup against IDA ZETTERSTROM. This marks her 10th pass over 340 MPH this season alone – a feat that’s absolutely wild when you consider there are still six races left on the schedule.
- The record-breaking run carries extra significance for John Force Racing, which has weathered the storm of patriarch John Force’s serious injuries from last season’s horrific crash. While John may never race again, watching his daughter dominate the sport has to provide some healing for the entire JFR family during their challenging period.
- Part-time NASCAR driver PRESLEY SORAH was in the crowd to witness Force’s historic moment, capturing the blistering speed that’s nearly impossible to comprehend unless you see it firsthand. Force improved her own record by nearly four-tenths of a second, proving she’s still finding ways to push the limits of what’s possible in Top Fuel.
