GRRL! SUMMARY:
- DANIELLA SUTTON delivered grit and determination at Donington Park, scoring a solid ninth-place finish in race one of the BRSCC Fiesta Junior Championship despite qualifying eighth and dealing with partially damp conditions. After a brief trip through the gravel that dropped her to 12th, the BRDC Rising Star executed a textbook recovery drive, setting personal best lap times and maintaining pace with the top-5 runners during the closing stages.
- The weekend turned into a masterclass in perseverance as SUTTON faced mounting challenges across three races. Race two ended with an unfortunate retirement after contact damage from Oliver Heron created alignment issues that ultimately sent her off-track at the final chicane. Despite the setback, her crew’s quick repair work demonstrated the kind of team effort that keeps drivers fighting through adversity.
- Race three showcased SUTTON’s raw speed and racecraft as she charged from 22nd on the grid to 15th position while managing a technical issue throughout the race. Running consistently with the top-10 pace in damp conditions, she gained seven positions before a final-lap mechanical retirement robbed her of what could have been an impressive points haul. The performance proved she belongs in the championship hunt heading into the season finale at Brands Hatch.
UPCOMING:
- BRSCC Fiesta Junior Championship finale at Brands Hatch (October 25-26)
