Daniella's bio:

Daniella Sutton is a 15-year-old British racing driver competing in the BRSCC Fiesta Junior Championship who aims to become the UK’s first female Formula 1 driver.

EARLY YEARS

Daniella’s journey in motorsports began at age six when her father took her to TeamSport Trafford Park for her first karting experience. What started as a casual introduction quickly evolved into a passion. By age ten, she was regularly visiting indoor kart tracks, and at eleven, she obtained her Motorsport UK license for karting, marking the beginning of her competitive racing career.

EARLY SUCCESS

In 2021, Daniella made her mark as a rookie in the Daniel Ricciardo Series UK Championship, achieving two rookie wins. Her talent continued to shine in 2022 when she claimed the Total Karting Zero UK North Championship title in the electric karting series engineered by former F1 engineer Rob Smedley. By 2023, she had risen to fourth place overall in the Daniel Ricciardo Series among 34 drivers, demonstrating remarkable progress in a highly competitive field.

  • 2024: BRSCC Fiesta Junior Scholarship Winner, earning a fully-funded season in the championship[2][1].

REPUTATION

Despite her young age, Daniella has established herself as a determined and resilient competitor in the motorsport community. Her ability to balance racing with school demands while managing Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis demonstrates exceptional commitment and mental fortitude. As a “Young Voice” for the National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society, she inspires others to overcome adversity. Her podcast “Extremely Fast Females” further highlights her dedication to promoting women in motorsport, earning recognition from organizations like Morson Group and BRSCC for her talent and potential.

FUTURE GOALS/PLANS

Looking beyond 2024, Daniella aims to secure sponsorship for a seat in Formula 4 or the Ginetta Cup as she progresses toward higher levels of motorsport. Her ultimate ambition is to be selected for the Formula 1 Academy and eventually compete in Formula 1 Grand Prix events, working to become the UK’s first female F1 driver. She continues to develop bespoke sponsorship packages for businesses interested in supporting her journey through the ranks of professional racing.
