GRRL! SUMMARY:
- DORIANE PIN executed a masterclass in race control, snatching the lead from pole-sitter MAYA WEUG at the rolling start and never looking back. The Mercedes junior made the most of fresh rubber to build a crucial two-second buffer, securing her fourth F1 Academy victory and taking over the championship lead with the fastest lap bonus point. PIN’s tactical brilliance turned what could have been a wheel-to-wheel battle with the Ferrari junior into a commanding performance that showcased exactly why she’s championship material.
- CHLOE CHAMBERS delivered pure determination in the closing stages, hunting down rookie ALBA LARSEN for third place with the persistence of a seasoned pro. After an initial attempt at the hairpin went wide, CHAMBERS regrouped and executed a textbook overtake at Turn 1, forcing LARSEN onto the less grippy part of the track to finally claim her second podium of the weekend. The move capped off a stellar weekend for Campos Racing and proved CHAMBERS belongs in the championship fight.
- Rookie sensation ALBA LARSEN continues to turn heads in just her second-ever F1 Academy start, finishing fourth and showing she’s adapting to single-seater racing faster than anyone expected. Meanwhile, LIA BLOCK put on an absolute clinic in racecraft, charging from dead last (18th) after missing qualifying due to a practice crash all the way to ninth place and valuable championship points. BLOCK’s recovery drive included smart overtakes on COURTNEY CRONE and others, proving that starting position means nothing when you’ve got the speed and racecraft to back it up.
UPCOMING:
- F1 Academy – Jeddah Corniche Circuit, Saudi Arabia (April 19-20)
