Chloe Chong
Formula racing // United Kingdom
I come as a much stronger person mentally and ready to take on more challenges.
Chloe Chong is a British-Canadian motorsports talent who made history as the youngest driver on the inaugural F1 Academy grid in 2023 at just 16 years old, before progressing to the British F4 Championship in 2024.
EARLY YEARS
Born to a family without a professional racing background, Chloe’s passion for motorsports was ignited when her father took her go-karting on her sixth birthday, following their shared experiences of watching Formula 1 together on weekends. Her parents provided crucial support as she began competing in karting in the UK in 2013, eventually advancing to the European scene by 2021. When racing commitments conflicted with her school schedule during her GCSE year, her school remained flexible, offering options to catch up on missed work and even suggesting online schooling if needed.
EARLY SUCCESS
Chong’s transition from karting to car racing came after being selected as a finalist for the FIA Women in Motorsport’s ‘Girls on Track – Rising Stars’ programme in 2022, where she showcased her abilities at Paul Ricard in France. In 2023, she joined PREMA Racing for the F1 Academy’s inaugural season and immediately impressed by finishing sixth in her first-ever single-seater race at Spielberg, Austria. Despite her limited experience, she demonstrated remarkable resilience throughout the season, securing three points-scoring finishes at Austin, Texas before transitioning to British F4 in 2024 to further develop her skills against diverse competition.

REPUTATION
Known for her analytical approach and adaptability, Chong has quickly established herself as one of motorsport’s promising young talents. Her ability to make a successful transition directly from karting to single-seaters demonstrated natural racing instinct and technical understanding beyond her years. Her participation in development programs like the FIA Women in Motorsport initiative has further highlighted her potential as a rising star in the racing world.
