- DYSTANY SPURLOCK became first Black woman to compete in ARCA Menards Series, starting last in 29-car field at Kansas before charging to 10th-place finish in overtime.
- After qualifying was rained out, SPURLOCK sliced through half the field in opening laps, maintained discipline through mid-race, then used free pass to rejoin lead lap with 25 to go.
- Late contact sent SPURLOCK sideways at full speed, but she executed textbook save to preserve top-10. Former motorcycle drag racing champion targets May 8 Watkins Glen road course next.
- SPURLOCK previously became first woman to win XDA Real Street class and set world record. She’s second Black woman in NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle, scheduled for Indy and Dallas this year.
