GRRL! SUMMARY:
- ERIKA HOFFMANN broke through with her first-ever front row start in Porsche Sprint Challenge North America at Virginia International Raceway, qualifying third for race one and second for race two. The Kellymoss driver showed she’s been putting in the work with outstanding one-lap pace that had her less than half a second from pole position.
- Race one tested HOFFMANN’s resilience when she brilliantly jumped championship leader Jens Hantson into turn one from third on the grid, only to spin at turn one on lap four and drop to 13th. She fought back through the field to finish P10 overall and fourth in Cayman Pro/Am class, proving she won’t be rattled by setbacks.
- Starting from the front row in race two, HOFFMANN found herself in a three-way battle early on before settling into fourth position. When rival Anna Cecchi made a crucial mistake on the final lap, HOFFMANN was right there to capitalize, drawing level heading into turn one before ultimately securing P4 and narrowly missing her third podium of the season.
UPCOMING:
- Road America – August 9th/10th
