GRRL! SUMMARY:
- The Iron Dames are making a statement at Le Mans 2024 with their No. 95 Porsche 911 GT3 R sporting a bold white livery instead of their trademark pink. MICHELLE GATTING, RAHEL FREY, and CÉLIA MARTIN will pilot the special one-off design that features powerful words like passion, commitment, and determination across the bodywork – values that define what it takes to survive as women in motorsport.
- MICHELLE GATTING didn’t hold back about the advantages of ditching the pink, candidly admitting that some competitors let bias cloud their judgment when they see the iconic color in their mirrors. “Something happens in their heads when they see a pink car,” she explained, noting how certain drivers make racing more difficult for the all-female crew simply because they know women are behind the wheel.
- While some fans mourn the temporary loss of the iconic pink that’s been synonymous with Iron Dames since 2019, RAHEL FREY emphasized the deeper message: “We want to share strong messages and highlight powerful keywords like passion and commitment.” The white livery represents more than a color change – it’s about letting their driving speak louder than outdated assumptions about what an all-female team should look like.
