The experience threw her into world-class competition immediately, traveling to circuits she’d never seen while competing against drivers with decades more experience.

“I’m young, inexperienced and don’t have a classic racing background, but I’ve learned to find my own way—and that makes me special,” Martin said during this period, articulating the confidence that would define her career.
