GRRL! SUMMARY:
- KATIA LOGGIE delivered a masterclass debut weekend at Donington Park, claiming third place podium finishes in all three CS Am class races during her first Porsche Sprint Challenge Great Britain campaign. The Scottish driver made the significant leap from front-wheel-drive Mini Challenge Trophy to rear-wheel-drive GT racing with Toro Verde GT, showing remarkable adaptation skills as she improved her lap times by over 1.5 seconds from practice to qualifying.
- Starting third in each race, LOGGIE demonstrated smart racecraft by managing traffic from faster RS Pro class cars while building gaps to competitors behind her. Her consistency paid dividends as she avoided the incidents that caught out other drivers, including safety car periods and red flags that disrupted the weekend’s action. Working with driver coach Abbie Eaton, she showed rapid learning curves throughout each race.
- The breakthrough moment came in race three when LOGGIE found serious pace, lapping over a second faster than her previous races and closing the gap to second place from 1.4 seconds to just one second in the final two laps. While she ran out of time to make the pass on Paul Porter, the performance showed her potential as she continues to adapt to the four-class grid system and shorter circuits that define this championship.
